The first GI- DO requests
Within the framework of the national system for the protection of Geographical Indications (GI’s) and Designations of Origin (DO's), the first two applications were filed before the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, in accordance with Law 25-06 and the law 17/97 relating to the protection of industrial property.

17 & 18 June 2009: Morocco - Seminar on anti-counterfeiting
A seminar on anti-counterfeiting was held in Casablanca Morocco by the USPTO and the Moroccan TMO (OMPIC) in the presence of the Moroccan customs, with the aim to develop new strategies against counterfeit products.
